:Search for our wedding bands:
Basically how difficult can it be to get a wedding band when it's widely available in all jewellery shops?
How wrong could we be... gold? white gold? platinum? Diamonds? Shiny? Matt? Tri-Band? Comfort fit? Normal fit? Plain smooth surface? or with a pattern?
First one was easy - we wanted platinum.

The next question was diamonds. I wanted a band of diamonds sandwiched in between (for my design) and I really like this design I saw at Lee Hwa. However, when I examined the ring, I wasn't too keen after that as it wasn't quite what I had in mind. Zit Seng had wanted a diamond in his ring too if I were to get one with diamonds, but we couldn't find a nice ring for him after searching high and low. I couldn't find the exact design I wanted either. So it was back to the drawing board again - WHAT WEDDING BAND DESIGN? We gave up after a few weeks of shopping and staring through display windows. We decided to settle for a pair of platinum wedding bands from GoldHeart. It was plain matt with a tiny blue sapphire embedded in the inner surface of the ring. I had a nagging feeling I saw the ring before and I was right! Two of my other girlfriends used the same design for the wedding bands too! The last question was, what to engrave on the wedding bands? Our solemnisation ceremony was on a different day from our wedding banquet, and both events were just as important to us. |

In the end, we decided not to engrave any dates but a short phrase of what the wedding band would mean to us.
For Zit Seng's ring, it reads as "DB circle of eternal devotion"
For my ring, it reads as "Zit Seng token of love".
